“Your ability to know happiness depends on your ability to know pain” … phrase of the famous Argentine writer Macedonio Fernandez, has been one of the triggers and artitist engines (among others) of the duo of Buenos Aires, and could well describe the content of this conceptual work.

“The Ivy” almost pretends to be a narrative of the unconscious, or even beyond, of the subconscious and disseminated in the 49 minutes of its duration, where different physical, emotional and spiritual processes are stripped.

Throughout the 10 songs that make up “The Ivy”, the band proposes a journey along dark and confusing, overwhelming and revealing paths, backed by monolithic riffs, cyclical-crushing rhythms and dark ambient passages.

The growls by Dario D. Ramirez (guitar / vocals), are the elemental component to accompany the despairing and reflective lyrics, accompanied by abrasive guitar walls, tenuous and disturbing at times, are the backbone of the album.

The rhythmic work of Sabrina S. Acosta, primitive and hypnotic, submerges even more in the humid and desolate places... more
