‘On Hexen Ground’ is a summoning. A primal invocation of elemental forces. A fevered conjuration of an ancient and mysterious rage.

On this, their debut album, blackened doom-punk mystics Molch position themselves as omniscient witness to man’s eternal folly, extra-human seers gazing incredulously upon an ill-fated race. From their hidden vantage point they sit in judgement of our kind, seething with stupefying anger.

These weird tales of plague-ridden death cults, hubristic occultists and cosmically-thwarted rebellions act as hopeless parables, guiding the listener on a cyclical tour of humanity’s inescapable plight, the inevitable mistakes of our failed species looping endlessly in a vast and unknowable universe.

Taking elements of black metal, punk, doom, noise rock and psychedelia, Molch purvey a unique brand of heaviness unrestricted by genre. Primitive, scuzzy and ringing with feedback, ‘On Hexen Ground’ is a cathartic manifestation of fear, confusion and psychic distress.

There is no cure for the human blight. There is only Molch.
